Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CareRing mobile application and related services ("Service") operated by Vasil Nonchev ("we", "us", "our").

By using CareRing, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Service Description

CareRing is a family caregiver coordination tool that allows care teams to:

• Track medications and schedules
• Assign and manage caregiving tasks
• Record daily wellness check-ins
• Share care notes and medical information
• Coordinate appointments
• View activity timelines

2. Not a Medical Device

CareRing is NOT a medical device, medical software, or healthcare provider. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. CareRing is a coordination and organizational tool only.

• Do not rely on CareRing as a substitute for professional medical advice
• Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical decisions
• Medication reminders are convenience features, not clinical alerts
• In an emergency, call your local emergency number — do not rely on the app

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use CareRing. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. Account & Authentication

• You sign in using Google Sign-In. We do not manage passwords.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account.
• You must not share your account or allow others to access CareRing through your account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating care circles and entering care data.

5. Care Circles & Shared Data

• When you create or join a care circle, all members of that circle can see the data within it.
• As a circle owner, you are responsible for who you invite.
• You must have appropriate consent or authority to enter health information about another person (the care recipient).
• You may leave a circle at any time. Circle owners may remove members.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Enter false or misleading health information
• Attempt to access other users' data outside of shared care circles
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the application
• Use the Service to harass, stalk, or harm another person
• Attempt to circumvent subscription limits or security measures

7. Subscriptions & Payments

• CareRing offers a free tier and optional paid subscriptions (Family, Premium).
• Subscriptions are billed through the Google Play Store.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Google Play Store settings.
• Refunds are handled by Google Play according to their refund policy.
• We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect.

8. Free Tier

The free tier includes core functionality with usage limits (number of circles, members per circle). We reserve the right to modify free tier limits, but will not remove access to data you have already entered.

9. Data Ownership

• You own the data you enter into CareRing.
• We do not claim ownership of your health data, care notes, or any content you create.
• You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
• You can export your data at any time (JSON format) and delete your account at any time.

10. Account Deletion

• You can delete your account from Settings within the app.
• Deletion permanently removes all your data, including circles you own and all data within them.
• Members of circles you own will lose access to that circle's data when your account is deleted.
• Deletion cannot be undone.

11. Service Availability

• We strive to keep CareRing available at all times, but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
• The app works offline with locally cached data. An internet connection is required for syncing and push notifications.
• We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability. We will provide advance notice when possible.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• CareRing is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to missed medication reminders, incorrect data entry, or reliance on information in the app.
• We are not responsible for decisions made based on data in CareRing.
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Termination

• You may stop using CareRing and delete your account at any time.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Data deletion follows our Privacy Policy.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria and applicable European Union regulations. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Sofia, Bulgaria, without prejudice to your rights under EU consumer protection laws to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
